200 HR Teacher Training Course (8 weekends)

This is a training that focuses on making you a yogi first and a teacher second. It is an investment that bridges ancient yogic wisdom with a grounded, modern understanding of body, mind, and spirit.
One of Ireland’s leading Yoga Teacher trainings is now available, spread out over 8 weekends, over 8 months. This allows those who learn and digest at their own pace to integrate the teachings and experiences on a week by week basis.
Set in a dedicated Yoga Loft space, attendees can immerse themselves in the ancient Yogic teachings and learn to grow and flourish as teachers. In this welcoming space, with Jeanie Jyanti’s unique approach to Yoga and teaching, time and integration is the focus.
This is the same course content as the 200hr Immersion Residential, just spread out over time.

The Accreditation:
This course is accredited with the recognised Yoga Alliance Professionals – a leading organisation for yoga professionals which seeks to raise standards and best practices in the yoga industry. Upon successful completion (including some at home coursework and assessment) it will allow the participant to register 200hrs of Basic Training with Yoga Alliance Professionals.
Please note we also hold our training school to even higher standards than YAP set. We believe this is important for the continuining development and education of Yoga. All our courses exceed the minimum requirements that YAP set and instead ensure that Yogic traditions are honoured, ancient wisdom is acknowledged, modern science is shared and current best practices are observed.

FAQs
-
A keen interest in Yoga is a must. This is not dependent or reliant on your ability to perform certain Asana (postures). Your open heart and mind is all that is required. A deep desire to study this ancient practice and commit to the program is needed. Know that this won’t always be easy, but it will be worth it. If you’re unsure in any was please reach out for an informal chat and we can support your decision.
-
The primary style we will be learning is Hatha - which is the basis of all Yoga that we practice today. It is a strong but accessible practice blending postures, pranayama, mantra, mudra and meditation into one practice. It’s a fantastic basis, from which to then specialise if you wish.
We will also explore, in some detail. Restorative, Yin, Ashtanga and Nidra. But you will only be qualified to teach General Yoga classes, unless you do further training.
-
Yes! Upon successful completion of this course, meeting all the course requirements, you will be qualified to teach a General Yoga Class.
-
This depends. It can be helpful to register with a body, get support and guidance and ensure you are following the most up to date practices. It can also be useful to get insurance via this accrediting body. However, to register with them upon completion of the course is entirely optional. This will be discussed in further detail during the course.
Please note that this course holds itself to higher standards than the Yoga Alliance Professionals set.

The weekends are intense, so intend for your days to be full but enjoyable. The schedule allows for lots of practice of yoga (which in itself aids the process of learning) as well as free time for food, walks, space rest, chats and more.
We have allowed time to flow with the energy of the group and adapt where needed.
-
In designing this course, we also created room for flexibility and responsiveness. This means we can adapt our day to the needs of our students and our small community. We will use the group energy and ability to dictate the flow of classes where possible.
But a typical day looks like:
8-9.30am Morning Practice
9.30-10.30am Breakfast
10.30-1.30pm - Class with breaks
2.30 - 7pm Class with breaks
The evenings will always end with a grounding practice like Nidra, Restorative, Yin, Mantra etc
