Embrace the Lunar Qualities of Yoga

Step into a space of deep relaxation, healing, and holistic growth at the birthplace of yoga—Rishikesh, India. This 13-day Yin & Restorative Yoga Teacher Training is a transformative experience designed to nourish your body, mind, and spirit while you immerse yourself in the ancient teachings of yoga. Held at the renowned Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram, our training program offers a unique opportunity to cultivate a deeper connection to the lunar (tha) qualities of the practice. Just like the moon, you are whole and complete—no matter what phase you are in. Allow this course to guide you toward a greater sense of balance, restfulness, and inner harmony.

Akhanda Methodology: Traditional, Holistic, Authentic.

This training is rooted in the Akhanda methodology, a traditional and holistic style of yoga from the Adi Nath Shiva Lineage. The term Akhanda means “whole” or “indivisible”—a philosophy that teaches us to recognize the interconnectedness of all aspects of life. By applying Akhanda comprehensive approach, this course integrates the physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of yoga, allowing you to cultivate balance and harmony in every aspect of your being. The Akhanda method emphasizes a seamless flow of practice, where body, breath, and mind come together as one, creating a deeply transformative experience.

The Education/ Core Teachings:

Your Guides:

Jeanie Jyanti (she/her)

Jeanie is passionate about taking Yoga off the mat and helping others discover the many aspects of Yoga and how they can be integrated into everyday life. She believes deep rest is a radical act in this fast paced world and she adores helping others to experience the true act of surrender. She is known for creating spaces where people feel nurtured and held, however that looks for them.

Jyanti began teaching Restorative practices 8 years ago and has been sharing her experience and wisdom with Teacher Trainees for the last 5 years. She has completed over 500 hours of YTTs with Akhanda Yoga Institute and has been a teacher and assistant on many more. Her other interests and expertise include Accessibility in Yoga, Mantra and Chanting, and Pre- and Post- natal Yoga.

Jot Anant (she/her)

Jot’s teaching seamlessly integrates science and sacred, guiding students to tap into their innate wisdom. She empowers them to decondition the mind and reconnect with the immense power within their hearts. This process of inner inquiry and awakening is, in her view, essential for healing — both individually and globally.

Jot Anant’s certifications include Intuitive Yin Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yoga for PTSD & TBI, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, and Thai Yoga Bodywork. These diverse trainings, combined with her own dedicated practice and self study, allow her to create a nurturing space where students can explore their body’s natural wisdom and cultivate a deeper connection to self.

She is known for her ability to seamlessly integrate traditional yogic philosophy with modern scientific insights, offering a holistic approach to Yin Yoga that speaks to the body, mind, and spirit. Her approach is deeply informed by her studies with multiple expert Yin Yoga teachers who have directly studied under Bernie Clark and Paul Grilley, pioneers in the Yin Yoga tradition.

Through these rich lineages, along with her exploration of Yin from various perspectives, Jot Anant has developed a multifaceted understanding of the practice, encompassing both the physical and energetic dimensions of Yin Yoga.
